So, the story goes a little like this.........I was taking a peek on my friend Laura's blog, and found that she has been up to more painting goodness! Laura comes from a very talented family of artists, and photographers. In fact, we grew up in the same town, and went to the same High School! Imagine that! I found this adorable bird that she so generously posted on her blog for all to use. As soon as I saw this bird, I knew I had to add a few to my tree!
Several years ago when we were first married, we got this cute little piece of furniture from IKEA. It looked so plain, so I painted this tree on the front (a few years ago).
And now I have two cute birdies to nest in this tree. The amazing thing is I was able dig up the original bottle of paint (gel medium), so the birds flow with the tree nicely. Thanks Laura! What a fun New Years Eve project~

I love the bird and nest theme which is dear to my heart. What a great piece of furniture and it looks amazing with the bird painting. I'm really enjoying your projects and thank you for sharing them.
Wow, it looks gorgeous and I love your little birdie bits on top and the floral arrangement, beautifully done :O)
oh, it's so pretty... It looks very unique!! Nice job!
Oh -- it's just fantastic! I have been scoping out my furniture looking for a piece I could paint using those birdies myself. Fun, fun, fun!
That detailing is delightful :)

Wow, all I can say is How Pretty!
This is the first time I have visited your blog, what a treat!

There is just something about the birds that just gets me, you know? I know it wasn't as popular a few years ago but now I catch myself thinking, how is it possible that I haven't always covered my house in birds each Spring. There is just a grace and delicate way about their shape & the eggs?..... Okay I'm rambling.....
Yours are so adorable...
