Saturated

Here is a small sampling of what I have been playing with......can you say saturated colors?! I love color.....and I don't know the meaning of overdoing it! So, for those of you who are more match-y, sorry! Bring on the color!!!!

Saturated Mess

A random doorway in Carmel. We could smell a delicious aroma of food
wafting out the open window.....probably the backside of a cafe or restaurant.
The pot of flowers blooming in January made me happy.

Carmel Door Way

Hurry up mail lady......I'm waiting for my package of Sis Boom Basics to arrive. I want to get going on my happy quilt.

UPdate:

It's pouring rain here, and I just heard a knock at my door.....look what the mail lady had for me!
So nice of her to hand them to me instead of putting them down in the wet rain.
Okkeeeee, back to work!

Look what came in the mail today!

Just peeked out my window and saw these yellow birdies taking a bath in the rain.

Oooh -- LOVE those colors. And they do too "match" -- there are stripes and polk-a-dots to tie it together...and they go together. Hmph. I think my definiton of "matchy" is not the same as a lot of folks though...:0).

I am of the matchy-matchy variety...but I still think it looks gorgeous...but I fear that you are guilty of some matchyness yourself with those lovely colour-coordinated borders around each square!

Beautiful, gorgeous fabrics too. I can't wait to see it finished.

Thanks ladies.....you made my laugh, Florence from England.....yes, the borders are a bit matchy, so that is an oxymoron.....LOL......have a great day!

I love the vibrant saturated colors. I am also a lover of strong colors and not "matching". What a nice shot of the yellow birds.

Happy weekend!

I think one reason why I love your blog so much is for how you use your color and how there is so much color. Maybe that is two reasons.

I totally agree! There is no such thing as too much color--maybe the wrong colors, but never too much! ;-) That is the thing I love about patchwork, juxtaposing unexpected colors & patterns...it makes me feel all giddy just thinking about it!
