To market and back........

I'm so excited to introduce to you, some gorgeous patterns! They are designed by Pat Fryer, over at California Quilting Center. Check out her site! Pat and Jessica had a booth at the Houston Quilt Market, this past week. Pat was sweet enough to let me design the pattern covers. Jessica came over, and we had fun setting the quilts up for me to photograph. I felt honored to do some design work for her debut line of Sheetcakes patterns! I just love how the Sheet Cakes logo turned out. So simple, yet effective!

If you are interested in purchasing any patterns, you can go here. They are hot off the press, so they might not be listed on the site, just yet. Feel free to give them a call, though.

Here are the Sheet Cakes patterns:

Pumpkin Pickin

This past weekend was busy, busy, busy! Are weekends, ever not busy? Not around here!

Pumpkin pickin

We kept waiting for the weather to turn more Fallish, before we headed out to the pumpkin patch. Everyone else gets to sport cozy sweaters this time of year, but we are in tee shirts and sweating! Honest to goodness.

Cup full of roses

See what I mean by hot.......the roses are still going strong! Guess we'll go from Summer to Winter in one breath. Really, I'm not complaining. There are worse things than having to wear coats for more than a few short weeks.

Such a sparkly time of year........crisp Fall colors everywhere you cast your eye! From the leaves on the trees (or falling off the trees), to the Fall table runners popping up in my home!

Love the movement and glowing dance of color in this photograph.

On the way out the door to our parent teacher conference this afternoon, I decided it would be nice to bring the teacher a bouquet! Yes, a yummy, rosy, peppery sweet bouquet. A remnant of Summer. Today has been a wonderfully, warm, Indian Summery day. Basking in the afterglow of Summer.

Fall fun

What we've been up to ....

Jack.o.lantern

After all, it's kids that make the holidays special! Especially Halloween...they designed their own jack o lantern's, and momma cut them out and ironed them on the tee's!

She.made.it!

Big sister made her own!
Momma's working on hers, too.......

Friday Fun

So, you are the mom, and you ask your kids what they want for lunch on their day off.....no answer.

They are too busy being busy.

Sandwiches. Thats it. Something easy and tasty.

One kid sits down to eat and is grateful for lunch. The other one is picky....."no thanks mom!" "I'm not having that!" .... and stomps off.

Mom: "ok, then, suit yourself....make your own lunch!"

Momma walks out of the kitchen and the girl sets to work making a cheesy quesadilla. Momma starts to smell something burning in the toaster oven.

Mom: "Whats that burning smell?!"

Momma rushes to the toaster oven.....

Kid: "I thought I better hit the start button a few times, since it wasn't all the way done, yet."

Momma is rushing to the toaster oven and quickly pulls out the stinky culprit!

Creamated.quesadilla

Aha...........a cremated quesadilla

Kids and mom are laughing ..... laughing very hard!

Quesadilla goes in the gar-bage.

Momma to the rescue....decides it best to make her girl a quesdilla, herself!

That's more like it!

Thanks mom! I promise to eat what you set before me, next time!

Yeah, it's been one of those days. Thank goodness it's Friday! Time to get outta the house!
