The trees are having a party

The blossoms are at the height of their season........I wish they would bloom a bit longer. They are so pretty! The pear blossoms & cherry blossoms are so gorgeous. I love it when the wind blows and sends thousands of tiny white blossoms, fluttering all about.

It's the beginning of strawberry season. They are oh so delicious, and make for a tasty snack.....and they work quite well with these scones. I found this delicious recipe over on the beautiful Cannelle et Vanille blog. They are delish! Thank you Aran, for inspiring me to make these strawberry scones. We ate them all gone!

So, how was your weekend?







Life gets hectic, harried and busy.........taking time to chill with friends recharges and sets things back in balance......as does baking in my kitchen. Now that I think about, we have had company every weekend, for over a month, now! Yowie. Hot soup and homemade bread is sounding good about now. Looking forward to longer, lighter days ahead. Dining outdoors is the best!

Think I'll cozy up with a good book, under my favorite, new quilt. Sorry this is just a teaser of my quilt. I still need to get some good photos. Maybe this weekend the rain will let up and I can get some outdoor shots.
