Crazy fun skirt

Okay, I'm finally getting this skirt blogged.......I made it way back when......saw a fun inspiration on my friend Nathalie's blog.......at first it was an elastic waisted skirt....but just didn't suit me, so I added a zipper to made it more fitted.......I didn't use a pattern!

crazy fun skirt

It is so bright and funky. I have yet to get my guts up to wear it out and about! What is it about me sewing for myself?! I have better luck making cute kids clothing...maybe because their size and shape is more forgiving? I dunno~

patchwork skirt

Happy patchworking Monday!

You totally need to wear that out and about - it's so darn cute (as are you in it!).

That skirt is GREAT! I love it. And you look great in it. You should wear it out and about with pride.

It's funny that you say that you have a hard time wearing things you make for yourself. I am exactly the same way! I love making things for my daughter, but the things I've made for myself I'm embarrassed to wear. I don't know what it is! But, it's nice to hear I'm not the only one.

Have a great day,
Shannon

I love your skirt! I have the same problem, I'm totally attracted to bright colors, then once I've made something I have a hard time making myself wear it in public, haha! How did you do it without a pattern?!

I LOVE IT! I think you should wear it out, it looks so cool! I made a little patchwork skirt for Hannah a few weeks ago. I guess I need to get it up on the blog. It's not as cool as yours though.

That is way cool and way to go with out using a pattern. I haven't mastered that yet, I can see it in my head but the constuction never goes well. I do enjoy sewing for my girls way more than myself, next up is Easter outfits.
