Thought I'd share some Winter jewels with you. I took this photo when we were in Vancouver. Icy, cold water droplets on a wintery branch........love the bluey-cold background. You can faintly make out the Burrard Inlet below, in the background....the tiny little twinkle lights from the boats..........far below, behind the tree branches.

Love this Wintry skyline with the Totem pole tops peeking out. These photos are unadultered, and unedited. The lighting was that spectacular!
So, what have I been up to? Catching up on laundry from our time away. Sewing some secret Christmas prezzies, standing in a few horrific lines at the Costco photo center, waiting in line at the post office for half an hour with a squirming toddler who had to go to the bathroom really badly, so we just left! What a waste! Some poor lady at the front of the line was fainting and the post office workers were shouting out to call 911, so that made my decision. WE WENT HOME! As we were pulling out of the parking lot, the ambulance was coming in. Good decision to leave and head home. Why does this time of year get so frantic?! So crazed?! Kind of takes the fun out of this sparkly time of year. One more reason to make homemade gifts and avoid the malls. What are you all doing for the holiday gift giving time of year?
A hot cuppa tea sounds wonderful!

Gorgeous photos! Can't wait to see what you've been sewing.
AND the post office is so crazy this time of year. Do you have a college near by? We have one in our city and I use their mail room. It's NEVER busy. My aunt taught me that secret.
Missy,
Thanks for your secret about the post office! :)
Hugs,
Laurie
