Soup addiction

Feels like Fall is back, again. When I say "back", I mean that it was here, and then it left us for a few weeks. In exchange we had 80 degree, warm sunny days. Time to dig out the boots and leg warmers, scarves, cozy sweaters, and hats.

Homemade chicken soup

I also dug out my soup making pot! Made some yummy, chicken and veggie soup.......slurp

catching the last rays of sunlight

Ahhhhh, what a view.........this is where we went, last Sunday, on a drive. The kids had me cooped in the house with illness and sick germs, so we went for a Sunday drive. Felt so good to get out the house, and look beyond my four walls. It is so scrumptious outdoors, this time of year.

How gold is my valley

Thats the view from halfway up Mt. Diablo.

Better scoot along home and get the soup to a rolling boil.
Excuse me while I get slurping, and buttering up some of these, with butter and jam.

gotta love a good Sunday drive! Soup just screams Autumn. I wonder if my kids will eat it this year. Last year they just didn't get it.

I have been making soups too!! I am so glad my kids like it! They even loved the Minestrone soup I made the other night. Devin, being a complete boy, loves to dip his bread (and fingers) in the soups and of course get is EVERYWHERE!!

I love when the weather cools and hearty soups sound so great! I have a recipe for an Italian lentil that I can't wait to try!
