Cozy up

It's finished! I can start to enjoy it's warmth and glow, all season long.

my new queen sized quilt

I still need to bind the quilt, but for now I couldn't wait to bust open the box as soon as it arrived on my porch this noon! YAY! Doesn't Dea do beautiful freestyle quilting!

sunlight

And as if this beautiful quilt of mine that came back "home" today, wasn't enough, look what was tucked in the quilt! I gasped with utter delight as I opened this book! An autographed copy, no less!

So excited to get my very own copy!

What a sweet heart of my friend Pat, to bring this back to me, from Quilt Market! Fresh off the press, from Anna Maria Horner! I am sooooooooo thrilled! Thank you~

pretty corner

I think I might use this fun peacock green, for the binding.............

in.all.it's.glory!

Time to make a couple more pillows to toss on top! I have a wonderful idea all ready, in my mind's eye. For now, I must go take a nap.............on my new quilt, and day dream in my new book.

Of course no need to say that it is beautiful as it speak for itself, just don't understand who is Dea-is it a person or sewing machine or something else,LOL????
I'm so jealous for the book, wish I had a friend to be able to do the same for me;)

Great quilt! I love how you used a center square surrounded by lots of different fabrics. Very colorful. And the quilting is wonderful. Enjoy.

Katarina,
Dea is the lady who I have to give credit to, for the machine quilting job. I made the quilt top, and she machine quilts it with her long arm quilting machine. :)

Oh, I see;)
Well, Dea is the goddess in Italian(it was in option as the name for baby Bianka when she was born) and she is doing the divine job for sure!!!I always wondered how people who quilts do those kinds of "drawings" on the quilts....
Thanks!!!

Just beautiful! I love those Anna Maria Horner fabrics, especially all together - it's so bright and cheerful! I've been hesitant to mix the regular weight fabric with the home dec weight, but based on your pictures it looks like it worked well!
