Snickerdoodles & Sunshine

Snickerdoodles

So, we were laying on the bed together with the warm sunshine and light breezes flowing in the window........mommy and her girls, reading stories and getting settled in for a nap..........I told the girls that if they had a good rest and stayed IN BED for awhile, then when they woke up we could make Snickerdoodles. Bribe? Naw, not really......I like to bake with my girls, so it turned out to be a lot of fun. I got the idea from this fun momma. The weather is cooling off tremendously, so it's not too hot to turn the oven on.

Aren't these fun crocheted doilies! I found them a couple of weekends ago, antiquing on the coast. They were only a dollar a piece! Sometimes I wish old things like this could talk and tell me the story of whose dear hands made them, and what tables and rooms they have sat in and where they come from! I will find a happy place in my sunny house, for them!

The snickerdoodles looks good. Do you have a recipe? :)
And I recognise the pattern of your white doilie. I think my grandmothers made many like that, many of them now at my parents house.

I had totally forgotten the pleasures of baking and enjoying Snicerdoodles. Thank you so much for reminding me. And the doilies are so pretty and at such a great bargain price.

With all of the cream of tarter, I still haven't made any snickerdoodles! Looking at these, I'm missing some tastey treats, hopefully I can make some soon! The doilies are really cute, I have several of these, how do you diplay them? I like the laundry clips! I just love your blog! May I link your site on my blog - "The Wooden Spool" or your first name - let me know :)
