How much fun is this! I zinged up a basic sweatshirt and turned it into this fun Fall look!
Digging through my vintage trims was the fun part, and sewing them on was a snap!
Ok, now if only it was cool enough to actually wear this outfit for the entire day. We have smoky fires ragging away just an hour or so from here! Everyone is staying indoors, because the air quality is sooooo bad. Perfect time to hunker down and sew.
Get embellishing ladies.....see how many fun things in your very own closet you can dig out, and get creating a new wardrobe.
See how much fun it is!!!?!

Brilliant idea--embellishing something is a great way to make it your own unique treasure.
Your five-year-old did a great job; it makes me smile thinking of a child that young taking pictures for mom's blog--too cute!
That is just fantastic! I like your way of embellishing a sweat shirt better than any other I have seen. Such a restrained and elegant way to treat a sweatshirt! Back in the day, I used to buy that embroidered ribbon (I think it was Swiss or German) and sew it onto the bottom of my jeans.
I love it! I'm definitely going to have to jazz up some of my own stuff like that!
Great idea Laurie! Looks really cute.
