Dog gone summer dayz...........still setting up the house, or um, rather the studio! Yeah, the girls and I are tackling the sewing room. What a job! Honestly! I have been teased and prodded all this past move, about ALL the boxes of fabric I own. Quote from my girlie: "I don't even know what I'm digging up, Momma!".....she's grabbing fist fulls of fabric out of one of the gazillion boxes of fabric, and we are color coordinating...
(and did I mention that each box weighs in around fifty or more pounds).
Ok, she's calling me to come back and help her out! I gotta see this thing through, ladies! It's bad enough organizing one's studio, let alone a whole house, all at once....so hard to keep focused. Not to mention I'm sewing flower girl dresses for two weddings! Yup, both of my brothers are getting married in September. Whewewwweeeee, once I can come up for air I'll be posting the dresses and such.....not to mention another wedding quilt I haven't even started yet.
And yes, we've been taking time out to swim lots, and bike ride, etc.....not ready for summer to be over with just yet. We need to hit the beach at least a couple of times.

Laurie: Good luck settling in! Kami and David's quilt is so beautiful. What a gorgeous selection of materials and such an artful eye! I heard that Matt was engaged too and is tres in love... How exciting for you to be getting sisters! I'm sure your girls are excited to have their mama make them such beautious dresses (not like that is a new experience for them tho!)xo

How fun they get to be flower girls!! I bet they are excited!! Have you read the book "Lily's Big Day" by Kevin Henkes? It is hilarious. Sara is excited to be in Ben and Laura's wedding.
I live near the beach but hardly ever go. I really should take the kids, even though it's too darn hot...
Can hardly wait to see the wedding dresses;), oh and of course, the peak of the studio set up;)
I found it! I love seeing all the projects you've done (you are so talented) and all the pretty fabrics. It makes me want to sew . . . but then once in a while I sew and I remember why I don't sew. :) Anyway, glad I finally made it here. See you!
