Have you ever been down this pathway before? It smells heavenly this time of year....jasmine wafting in the wind. You can access it from San Carlos Ave, or Dolores (near the corner of 6th Street), next to one of my favorite galleries.
After gallery hopping, and a bit of shopping, we found our selves driving South, down Hwy. 1. Big Sur, here we come!
So pretty this time of the year. Not a cloud in sight that day. Truly idyllic.
We took the kids hiking to Pfeiffer Falls....so pretty in the tall, tall redwood trees. Only a mile round trip hike. Just right for tiny legs and feet. Ohhh, how I wish I could take a walk like this every day! Well, I can go for walks, and I do, but not with this kind of scenery to look up at, and a canopy of trees to encompass me.
And last but not least.......this mustard! I love this massive yellow mess of color. It really is this yellow...no photoshop editing here, I promise. Just pure, Spring, mustardy yellow goodness. Time to get out my paint brushes and slap down some color.

Gorgeous! Next time I'm in your neck of the woods I'll have to check out these places. Thanks for sharing!
Trust me when I say you are one licky family to live near such beauty. I love the ocean and rarely get to it, the trees! WOW, and those flowers?!?! We are still looking at gray skies and dead leftovers from last year! Truely blessed to live where you do!
beautiful photos! sounds like you had a wonderful day!
Everything looks so beautiful and lush! We have the heavy smell of orange blossoms in the air here. It makes the allergies tolerable.
I want to see the shop at the end of the path. That sign makes me think of Alice in Wonderland.
Gorgeous pics!!!Those trees are amazing!!!The last one seems like taken somewhere here....very similar nature;)
There is nothing like the smell of jasmine, it reminds me of Italy. I loved seeing the pictures of this area as LBH and I were in Carmel in 2005 and had such a fun time!
Cherry xoxoxo
Oh girl, you make me miss those redwoods!
What a lovely and fun day spent exploring. Spring -- please?!? Today it's snaining here (somewhere between rain and snow without any of the good parts of either).
