Feeling Like Fall

Why is that come August, some of us are getting a little worn out from the heat? I always get that craving for Fall around this time of the year. Looking forward to apple pies, cider, hot tea, cinnamon, and baking! I'm not over and done with summer just yet, just sort of thinking about Fall.

Just perusing the pages of the August "Freepeople" clothing catalog...........I just love Fall! Everything from the colors, the smells, harvest time, colorful leaves, warmer clothes, and COOLER WEATHER! Looking forward to Fall, folks!

PS. Thanks for all your summer love on the last post! Those little eyelet dresses were so much fun to make! The girls love wearing them, too. There's still lots of summer weather yet!!

And here I am feeling the hint ofSpring in the air and drooling over the gorgeous summer clothes you have made your girls. I love the change of seasons - both Spring and Autumn - for some reason it just makes me feel so full of life.

Sarah,
Isn't it neat how you all "down Unda" are on the opposite seasons! I have family and friends in Perth and Canberra!
Take care, Laurie~

I'm always craving the fall! It's my favorite time of year. It's been cooler here this week and making me want to get out my fall wardrobe- but summer's not over yet. Can't wait though. Apple cider on a cold night is the best!

that peach colored sweater looks cozy and divine, if I could have that, I'd be ready for winter to arrive for sure...

I'm getting anxious for Fall, also. That's my favorite time of the year. I'm thinking about Christmas presents... and what should I make. I think I'll make my girls purses and stuff them full-to-the-brim with dollar bills, so when they open the purses, the $$$ will just fly all over.
Silly mom,

Last night, my husband had some pre-season football on the TV. It made me nostalgic for all those things you mentioned, along with crunchy leaves, pumpkin bread, and grilled cheese suppers with tomato soup!

Joni (Yummers) pointed me in the direction of your blog. Everything is so beautiful!!!

I'm really looking forward to fall, too. I crave turtlenecks, and then when the season comes, they suffocate me!

well we haven't had much of a summer here on the 'wet' coast, but it does feel like fall is just around the corner. The nights are cooler and arriving earlier, and there's that crisp, slightly smoky smell in the air that I love! I'm not quite ready for summer to end though :)
