This fun Amy Butler Lotus fabric has been sitting around my sewing room for a few weeks now, begging to be made into a new summery apron. I scraped up a little extra time (something mom's don't have much of), and this is what I came up with. The thing that got me motivated is the baskets of strawberries everywhere you look! Big, fat, juicy, red, ripe strawberries!!!!! You can smell them a mile away (well almost). I picked up a flat of them on Saturday, and by Sunday afternoon we had the sweet, sweet smell of strawberries boiling on the stovetop. YUM~
Aren't they lovely looking! Nothing like a fresh batch of homemade jam. We all had a sample on some sourdough bread. Believe it or not, we had enough jam this past summer, to last us through the whole Winter and into Spring. Only had to buy one jar of jam last week.....so it was definitely time to make some more jam. I have a feeling there will be a few more jam making frenzies to come. We'll keep ya posted.

Yum! They look delicious! Oh, and I LOVE you apron. I should have hopped on that bandwagon and bought the lovely red (cherry?) lotus before so many stores ran out of it!
Simply scrumptious! I'm loving your blog - just added you to my reader. Thanks for leaving the comments on my stuff over at Anna Maria's Flickr groups ... I just had to return the compliment! Also, kudos on your photos. They're really well done. What kind of camera do you use? I'm on the lookout, as my current one is failing fast!
Oh yummy! If you need a home for extra jam -- um, I'm willing to accept packages in Illinois!
