What is creamy, hot, yummy to the tummy, slurpy, and warms you from your head to your toes?
Soup!
Ahhhh, nothing better.
Comfort food.
Better get back to stirring my pot.

Embracing the sunshine
It's been awhile since I last posted.......I know...........
....but we've been busy, lotsa busy, embracing the warm, winter sunshine..........dancing in the sun, baking lots, and lots, and lots, cooking pots of hot soup, cornbread, and watching the last rays of sunshine slip over the velvety, green hills.
embracing in our new Sunday dresses, made by Mommy!
Baking, baking and more gluten free baking.........some yummy wheat free cookie bars hiding in this little gift for someone special.
Looking up into this beautiful, Wintry, blue sky...........peering through bare branches and thinking of the Spring green that will soon come!
One little sign that Spring is on it's way! A bright spot of yellow cheering my day, on the kitchen table.

More celebrations
The parties have gone on non stop, since before Christmas. The season starts out with my dear momma's birthday, pre Christmas........and then several other family members to follow, soon after Christmas!
Happy, happy birthday season!
Cup cakes practically coming out of our ears...........
Happy Birthday to my father and my sweet girlie!
Ahhh, now the cleanup.......the dishes are all done, there are still a few cupcakes to yet disappear (me thinks the garbage can is a good home) and my studio needs some desperate cleanup attention...not to mention the pile of laundry waiting here.

Paper flakes
Paper flakes is all we get.......with that I'm satisfied. No slishy, shloshy snow to slide through, no wiping out on black ice.
Just pretty, flakey, sheets of paper, no sheets of ice or snow........
Reflecting beautifully off the pretty mirror, as if to say hello, and good morning to you.
Happy, happy holidays to all of you, both near and far, wherever you are! Thank you for all your kind and generous comments over the past twelve months that made up 2008! Oh yessss! 2008 was great! We are looking forward to what 2009 will enfold.

A large dose of vitamin A
Who says there is no such thing as fruit in the middle of the winter?! Oranges, tangerines, mandarins, pomegranates, persimmons, are some of our favorite. (to mention a few) ~ I just love the bright and cheery colors of these fruits, in the dead of winter.
The are just like jewels! So bright and cheery, aren't they!
Luscious colors~
Saving this one for our Christmas salad........the pomegranate seeds are like little red rubies!
Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season!
Now go stock up on some vitamin A filled fruits and vegetables!

Cozy new quilts
There is something about this cooler time of year, that beckons and calls us to curl up in a cozy quilt! I just love quilts. I can't help it!
....and my girlies love their new quilts, too! I sure had fun making them.
How could they not love these adorable quilts made from Sandi Henderson's gorgeous fabrics!!!!
Thank you Sandi, for putting a smile on our face, everytime we see your delightful fabrics!
ahhh yes, and the cute little dusty mirror! (don't look too close).........it's well loved.
So, I guess you could say that these quilts are an early Christmas prezzie. Might as well cozy up while it's cold outside.
