Talk about tomatoes! Eeep! Good thing we love 'em around here, 'cuz we've got 'em coming out our ears......well, not really, but almost! With a daily harvest of these summer beauties, I am getting creative with the cooking. If any of you love tomatoes as much as we do, or just need to use up the ever plentiful supply coming off your vine, I highly recommend checking out The Heirloom Tomato Cookbook! In fact, you can even pick up one here ON SALE!
I even made up a copy of a delicious recipe you might like to try. Go ahead, don't by shy~ It is delish!! Get creative and modify..........add some slivers of purple onion to the already delicious sandwich.

nice tomatoes! Ares are just starting to grow. The plants are huge and there are a few small green tomatoes. Looks like a late harvest.
um...ares? OURS
Yum! There are fewer things tastier than a freshly picked tomato!
I hate tomatoes! :) But I just bought some grape ones (today actually) because they're sooooo healthy for us, and I plan to soak them in ranch. :)
ok, how could anyone "hate" tomatoes?! Aren't they considered a fruit? I must say this, HOMEGROWN TOMATOES totally top the store bought ones. Nothing like biting into a sweet, juicy tomato that squirts sweet juice across the table to your partner. Hahaha~
I'm envying those tomatoes...I'm promising myself to plant a vegetable garden next summer.
Love your tomato photos... makes me hungry for a BLT with avacado slices. My husband just picked our first ripe tomato and my hands smell so good after touching it.
Come visit,
Joni
WOW!! Mine haven't yet sprouted, but I'm really excited for when they do, along with the cucumbers. SALADS!! :)
Ohh, my mouth is watering for those summer beauties, nothing better then home grown tomatos with a little sea salt and olive oil. Been visiting your blog for a while, beautiful, thank you for the inspiration.
