So, here is what I have come up with so far! I'm pretty excited about it. (the colors are much richer and the hot pink is much brighter in real life) ~ You get the idea, anyhow. Just need to attach the waistband to the skirt and put a zipper in and hem it! YAY! Then the fun part comes..........finding the perfect top to wear with it! Any ideas???

what about a semi-fitted t-shirt that has been embellished with some of the fabrics you used in the skirt? Cute, casual, but still with a wow factor. Plus you could buy the t-shirt and have fun with the embellishment.
Wow you've made some fast progress. It's looking great! I'd say something very simples for the top. Maybe a nice white top or sweater.
