It's that time of year..........winding down the school year! I can hardly believe it's June!!!!!!!!!!!! The month of May was incredibly full and busy!

My studio is a mess with fabric scraps all over the place, while I have been madly sewing end of the year teacher gifts! This time around I was on the ball and got them all made and wrapped ahead of time! I usually wait 'til the night before and stress myself out with last minute sewing.

This was a perfect way to use of pretty fabric scraps. I brought home a stack of note cards from the dollar bins at Target! They fit perfectly in the pockets! If you want to try this project, I highly suggest using a stiff iron on interfacing. It makes the note card holders keep their shape! (It worked well for me) You could also get creative and use ribbons for the ties.....I didn't have enough ribbons on hand, so I just cut strips of fabric and folded and sewed them....make sure you iron everything as you go ........ It makes it easier to sew. The little drawstring bags have note cards and a pen in them, for the music teacher, librarian, science teachers, etc.....What are you making for the teachers in your life? Tell me your ideas!
