Okay, I hate to do this, but there is a little something that has been bothering me for quite some time, now. I know most of you understand blogging etiquite, so just bear with me here. I have noticed several of my photographs posted on OTHER BLOGS! I find this very disturbing. If you have any of my photographs posted on your blog, would you kindly remove them.
THANKS~ I don't mind if you make reference to my blog in any polite way, or link to my blog, etc....but please, refrain from taking my photography and posting it on your blog. Anyhow, you know who you are. I would NEVER take another blogger's photograph or flickr photo and post it on my blog! *argh* Isn't it fun to post things that we have made ourselves?! Then our friends come along and pat us on the back for our handiwork. I think it works something like that?
Thanks for understanding.
Next post will be more inspiring...I promise......
toodles,
Laurie~

You might want to modify your flickr settings so that the "blog this" option does not show up--that gives people a really easy way to blog your photos. Just go to your account and then privacy & permissions. I hope that helps solve your problem :)
Thanks so much, Annie!!!!
Laurie, I'm totally with ya!!!!I should set my settings, too;)
BTW, love your new apron and skrt;)

Yeah, people are unbelievable sometimes, huh? I just went and changed my settings too. Didn't realize you could do that. Gorgeous quilt above, btw.

I don't blame you for being miffed about it. Not cool at all.
I don't have a blog, but I like when I find cool blogs through other blogs. So when they have a picture of someones wonderful project and give you credit for it and where your blog is at, I think that's a great way to share beautiful, inspiring work. And conect with like minded moms, crafters, artist ect.
It expands the community.
I've seen blogs that just say if you use my picture give me credit or to ask permission first. That would be an ethical way to go about it. Just some thoughts....
hi there "just be".......thanks for your thoughts....I think that is why people have links on their sidebars, to other "neat" blogs! The people who have used my photos/taken them, have used them without my permission. This is why I am upset. As you can see, by the other comments here most are in total agreement with my thoughts...and they ARE bloggers, not just lurkers. Thanks~
