The guest bed gets dressed

I am thrilled to show you my latest and greatest creation! The guest room gets dressed: Chocolate Lollipop Quilt, by Laurie Taylor~ The beautiful fabrics are made by Anna Maria Horner. I have to tell you about my friend Pat Fryer. She is the owner of California Quiltmaker's. This is the wonderful lady who does all of my fine quilting. I will be putting up her soon to be done website and linking her on my blog. If you are lucky, you just might run into her in Texas, at Quilt Market! Thanks so much, Pat for completing my gorgeous quilt.... she is the one who informed me that my quilt pattern is called a Medallion quilt.
This cute little cross stitch pillow you see pictured is something I stitched when my first born was a newborn. My mother came to visit us in Canada and brought this cross stitch kit that my Granny had published. My Granny drew up the design and Sunset Stichery published them.
Unfortunately, Sunset is no longer in business.

Come on over and take a nap ....... a, 'er .... well, if you are a friend that is

It is simply gorgeous! I have just ordered lots of chocolate lollipop for making a quilt for my guest room redo, but my quilting talent is not nearly as impressive.

What a fun quilt! Did you listen to the podcast that Annamarie linked to on her blog last month? At the end of it she is interviewed and it's a really interesting story about how she chose the name for Choc Lollipop as well as the process of sending her designs away to be made into fabric...

I love how colorful your blog is because of how colorful all your creations are! The little saying on the pillow is the same saying I embroidered and framed before we had Troy 28 years ago and it's still hanging in my house. Suppose I may have to give it to him and Sarah someday...
