Nesting and eggs

Nests and eggs ..... here is one of the mini projects I did to kick off the buzzy weekend we had around here. Made a few eggs from some zippy scrap favorites. We got A LOT done!! Finished painting a little wooden hutch for the girls to play with........just their size. I'll be sure to post that in one of my next postings. (Still working on it) More to come...........if you want to make your own eggs, simply draw up four ovals and make sure they are all the same size. Sew the first two inside out, on the one side. Then sew the next oval inside out to the first two......and so on. Finally, sew the last edge together of the four parts, just part-way. Do the whole mess inside out and push some stuffing inside. Plump that eggie up and hand stitch the little remaining corner of the eggshell together. It's fun, easy and rewarding for a spring pick me upper around the house!

The nests came from Michael's!!! They had a few varieties to choose from! I'm sure most craft stores carry them.
